Dynamic Pulse Control (DPC) is a powerful light-based technology. During treatment, the DPC pulses are directed at the vascular lesion. The pulses have a specific wavelength which is optimally absorbed by the hemoglobin chromophores (a red protein responsible for transporting oxygen to the blood in the lesion). The pulses heat up the hemoglobin resulting in blood clotting that disintegrate the vascular lesion.

A. The typical regimen is an average of 1-3 treatment sessions, depending on the size of area being treated. They should be spaced 4 weeks apart for optimal results, this is due to any natural healing that will occur between treatments.
Q. Are the treatments safe and painless?
A. SharpLight's pulsed-light treatments are non-invasive and very safe. During the procedure, there may be a slight 1-2 second, momentary tingling sensation that may be felt, but no pain.
